ICL Group is a Winner of Golden Mercury Innovation Award

The Expert Panel of the Golden Mercury National Award for Entrepreneurship decided on the prizewinners for 2021. ICL Group, one of the leading IT companies of the Republic of Tatarstan, was recognized as the best exporting company in Russian IT service sector.

The contestants were judged on the basis of the analysis of their social and economic activities, financial indicators, prize awards and top positions in rankings. By winning the Golden Mercury Award and a Diploma from the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Tatarstan ICL Group reaffirmed the quality of its products and services and its high status in the IT market.

According to Ruslan Vagizov, Director of ICL Services International Group (part of ICL Group), year 2021 was rewarding for the Company.

“The post-pandemic period propelled us to re-strategize the business and to turn to quick impact transformation projects. We managed to expand the horizons of our activities in the retail, HoReCa and logistics markets that had transformed most of all during this period, and thus to acquire even more expertise. And today, in the face of new restrictions and difficulties in equipment import, dynamics of IT industry in system integration of Russia is down,” Ruslan says emphatically. “Nevertheless, in the foreseeable future those companies will benefit that focused on implementation of diversification strategy: search of new partners and vendors, import substitution, transformation of export-oriented services delivery predominantly to friendly nearshoring. That’s what we are hinged on, and we remain highly sought-after professionals. And this honorary reward confirms it.”

The Golden Mercury National Award for Entrepreneurship was established in 2002 by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation with the support of the Federation Council and the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation. The competition is held annually in two stages, the regional stage and the national one, and makes it possible to determine the most prospective business representatives in the field of solutions and services production and export. It also promotes development and strengthening of business models and entrepreneurship.
