Programming Tournament Commences on Friday
The fifth open republican (regional) student/schoolchildren programming tournament will be held on ICL-KME CS basis at the end of the week. The participants check-in will start on Friday; the tournament inauguration and the training tour will happen on Saturday.
On Sunday the young computer geniuses of the region will compete for the best team title. By the way, according to the screening tour results 37 teams are admitted as participants. The participants’ geography is wide — from Tetushi and Bavly up to Samara, Orenburg and Orel.
The steering committee includes ICL-KME CS general director Victor Diachkov (the chairman), RT education and science deputy minister Ludmila Nugumanova, the KSU dean of computerization and cybernetics department Rustam Latypov, the КSТU named after А.N. Тupolev dean of technical cybernetics and informatization Leonid Sharnin, ICL-KME CS and RT education and science ministry representatives. The Jury’s chairman is the КSТU assistant professor Dmitry Khokhlov.
The tournament results will be made on Sunday evening. The schoolchildren — the contest’s winners — will be given the benefits on entering the profile departments of the KSU and the KSTU (KAI).
It is worth mentioning that in the previous years there were 360 participants, representing 120 teams, not only from Tatarstan.
