ICL Expands Business and Opens New Technopark

The official opening ceremony of the Technopark will be held on 29 May at the Innopolis Laishevo special economic zone (SEZ) in Usady. The leadership of the Republic, the management of the Innopolis SEZ and representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development are invited to participate in the opening ceremony.

The construction of the new office of ICL Group is due to the expansion of business scope and the launch of innovative activities, which required an increase in the number of jobs and creating suitable conditions for the development of large-scale projects. The Company is actively forming innovative teams that are engaged in research, development and implementation of projects in machine learning, industrial Internet of things (IIoT), automation in Russia and abroad.

“We, in ICL Group, understand that ingenuity, the ability to think outside the box in new business realities and include the latest digital technologies in our services is the key to success in modern IT. Therefore, we are expanding our business in this direction and are quickly reacting to the market,” said Andrei Krekhov, Head of Technical Programmes.

The eight-storey Technopark with an area of almost 13,000 sq.m was put into operation in Q1 2018. It is located on the territory of the Innopolis Laishevo SEZ, not far from Kazan, and is designed to accommodate 1,260 people. The layout of the building includes public areas located on the ground floor including three transformable conference halls, a cafeteria, a canteen, and recreation areas. Office spaces of the open-space format are on the 2nd to 8th floors. The office building has a bright, modern design and was selected as a participant of 2018 Best Office Awards.

“When designing and building the Technopark, we considered all the requirements that any IT company could impose on the office and, as a result, the concept of a modern, innovative, comfortable office building was put into reality,” says Evgeny Stepanov, General Director of ICL Techno LLC, who became an investor and customer of construction.

To date, an ICL Group company specializing in IT services, ICL Services, has already moved to the Technopark building. It is operating both on the Russian and international markets providing integrated IT outsourcing services to such major market players as Leroy Merlin, Auchan, British Petroleum and others.

The Technopark is the third building located at the Innopolis Laishevo SEZ. The Computer Equipment Assembly Plant was commissioned earlier in 2012-2013, and in 2013, the Engineering Centre was opened at the location.
