RAIDIX Based Storage Helps ICL Ensure Data Safety for the Territorial Fund of CMI in the Republic of Mordovia

The primary customer of RADIX based storage is the Territorial Fund of Compulsory Medical Insurance (CMI) in the Republic of Mordovia—non-profit organization that implements the state policy in the field of compulsory medical insurance within the territory of the republic.

The principal objective of this project is to provide save storage of archive copies with connection to the storage system depending on data archiving methods. One of the requirements was flexible integration with Windows Active Directory, as well as the maximum use of existing hardware to avoid additional hardware purchases should have to be provided.

The optimal solution was the storage system from ICL running RAIDIX 4.7 in a single-controller mode with connection via iSCSI. The storage features ensure both high performance and reliability of the system. Protection from silent data corruption analyzes RAID metadata to detect and fix errors occurred during write operations to the drive, and write cache protection capability using non-volatile memory NVDIMM-N prevents data loss even in case of power failure. The software allows you to maintain unique RAID 7.3 and RAID N+M levels, which provides maximum storage fault tolerance.

The new solution fully meets the requirements of the Territorial Fund for system features and cost. An important factor is the reliability of suppliers and their extensive experience in the Russian IT market: RAIDIX software is included in the Unified Register of Russian Software for Electronic Computers and Databases, and ICL has 27 years of experience in the supply of equipment throughout Russia.
